About the brand

We have poured youth, energy, know-how and creativity into Martin Albus wines. With our two rehabilitated and rejuvenated vineyard sites, Martin and Albus, both of which have shown themselves in all their splendour very quickly, we have created five very special wines. Martin Albus wines are more than just the product of combined work of winegrowers and winemakers – they have been produced as single vineyard wines. This was done in an attempt to produce wine with a more pronounced character.

While we keep white wines only in stainless steel tanks to preserve their primary aromas, we have made Frankovka by combining the use of brand-new and already used barrique barrels, so that it may reveal all its splendour. Key to success

The key to success lies in our determination to explore the boundaries of Frankovka and Silvaner Vert, but also of Sauvignon and Pinot Gris from the Orahovica wine-producing region, provided however that we remain within the limits of the variety. The challenge put before oenologists and winegrowers yielded the assortment of Martin Albus wines. Martin Albus wines were made by using grapes grown exclusively in a single vineyard. This production method brings out the terroir to the max and reveals all the unique specificities of the wine.

2021 .
This was the year Martin built the cellar where Martin Albus Frankovka is aged even to this day. The cellar is dug into the north-facing side of a hill just outside Orahovica, whereas the south-facing hillside is where the Albus site is located.

I am the first serious winemaker in Orahovica and I built the cellar which is still used for aging the best wines, 127 years later.

The location of Martin gives wines a specificity that they cannot get anywhere else, and a drop of one of our fragrant elixirs, which are characterized by exclusively hand-harvesting, will give a completely new perspective on the Orahovac vineyards.
